Flu Vaccine Still Available

BINGHAMTON, NY - The Broome County Health Department has a limited amount of flu vaccine remaining.

The Centers for Disease Control and the New York State Department of Health advises giving the remaining vaccine to children between the ages of 6 months and 9 years of age. It is recommended that children in this age group receiving the flu vaccine for the first time, receive two doses. Administering one dose of flu vaccine now, would eliminate the need for two doses of flu vaccine next year.

You may make an appointment by calling the Broome County Health Department at 607.778.2839, while supplies last.

To be protected against influenza, people require the influenza vaccine every year.
